I want to improve the quality of my lines.
At present, the thickness of the lines I draw is not appropriate.
Where should I make them thinner, or thicker?
I love these! super unique and characterful, and good observation skills.
Some ideas for your lines:
Try focusing on using thick lines where the area would be in shadow - it would feel more natural there rather than on the top curve of a shoulder - for a natural look.
Aim to keep them cohesive - so they could all be on the bottom/left lines of your shapes - for a balanced look.
Or use them for the line of action - pick the line you want to emphasize that has the strongest shape for a dynamic look.
Ah, so it's about drawing lines while being mindful of the direction of light!
That's something I hadn't been conscious of.
I'll give it a try! Thank you!
