Leaving my comfort zone

by Aunt Herbert, May 27th 2021 © 2021 Aunt Herbert
I feel quite comfortable with shorter sketches, but comfort is the enemy of growth, so I want to push myself more towards longer drawings. This is the final drawing of doing the 2-hour lessons, and, let's not go into details what's all wrong about it. It was supposed to be a 50 min drawing, I threw in the towel after 20 mins, because I could no longer decipher the purpose of my own lines. On the other hand, being discontent with the result isn't a bug in practice, it's the actual feature. I got away with at least a dozen ideas of what I need to focus more on in future. I'll also post the 10 minute figure I drew just prior, to rebuild my confidence, because I liked that one. If anyone is interested to see the result of the entire lesson, here is the link to my artstation page
