Well, well, well, jcmlfineart, I must say that I really think that your illustration is on the right track as composition goes, as drawing goes, and as design and color goes. And I really and completely feel that you should keep going on your gesture drawings in your composition studies.
My weak spot in this figure drawing is that though it's totally great in terms of subtlety and nuance, but I'm not getting enough of the broader strokes in your lines of action and of rhythm. Would you please be able to draw the largest sketches in a 14 x 17 sketch paper with 30 minutes of 30 second exercises for quick drawings? (60 attitudes of sorts)
The reason is like, if you do your warm-ups, like eating your vegetables, then you'd be able to get the most boldest and powerful organic drawings and exaggerations with colored pencils, like Carter Goodrich had and is doing. For more practice, be sure to look up his works through Google.
Cheers and I hope it's been inspirational and influential.
