Well, Kim, the reason why Gabbo disagrees with this sentiment is, I think, because is the rigidity of the rudimentary and basic nature of the simplest but most geometric forms of the mannequin figure, unless you're really want to apply and really need to apply contour and gesture drawing to establish the lines of action, balance and rhythm to give the basic forms the most organic flow. I love to draw from the mannequins with gesture sketching and contour drawings, but I don't want them to be the only way of thinking of drawing the figures from life.

    My hat's off to you.

Say, May, I think you'd made a greater choice of practicing how to draw faces and expressions, but I feel that it's OK to make more mistakes as long as you, I, and we all learn from them and move on. Yet, I can still see some parts that were way too off in a more evolutionary way. Why don't you please just take those drawings and flip them vertically, followed by horizontally ? The reason why is because you can and will perceive your errors more readily than average or your average. So for more details, kindly look into Nicolaides book, The Natural Way to Draw, and the Betty Edwards books, Drawing on the Right Side of the Brain and Drawing from Within, for they are plentifully inspiring for you to draw more observantly but imaginatively.

    My hat's off to you.

    Hello again, JO NI.

I just really think that your signature style is getting be completely the most diverse in terms of styles from quickest gesture drawings to boldest but most sculptural rendering of lights and shadows from charcoal to watercolor. But I completely, totally, definitely and therefore absolutely have the feeling that most of your quickest thumbnail sketches of your poses could and would and furthermore should use the most squash and stretch and crudeness in your line boldness yet confidence. Would you please care to go ahead with 60 drawings with 1 minute for each of your figure sketches with marker pens and biro (ballpoint) pens, all done from your left hand and arm, if non-dominant?

The logical explanation is because your line quality can, shall, and will become the most extremest, boldest and powerful in your drawing speed as if you're cranking out your roughest of sketches. So for most info, please may I suggest look into this PDF of Shamus Culhane's book on Animation right about here? Here, you can and will be able to look into how Shamus looked into his creativity in his drawings, particularly for drawn animation. Thank you.

    Hello, joiy.

Nicest job on your range of life and pizzazz to your roughest and sketchiest figure sketch. I absolutely admire your rhythm, lines of action, flow, and fluidity of your pose above in that link, but I think you're really catching up and on. I feel that the gestures are getting too shakiest against your silhouette and relationships yet. How would you like to make your figure drawings most alive with 9 drawings of bodies with 2 minutes for each?

The reason why you could and should be on board with this is because, your lines of action, rhythm and pose shapes can and will become the most alive and most internally motivated in your storytelling poses. As Glen Keane puts and put it:

    Animate drawings from the heart.

Normally it's associated with drawn animation, but it can and will be specifically and generally useful for anything. So for most details, please pick up a copy of Daniel Coyle's The Little Book of Talent. Thank you.

Hello, Jt, and welcome to LOA (Line of Action). How are you doing today? Say, you're doing a farther than greater job on your gestures and linear boldness and confidence in fineliner pens and pencils of your 30 minute class of figure drawing studies. You know, I think that working in pencil and/or fineliner is just moreso a persona thing. I feel that if you're working in quicker sketches for 1-60 seconds, it would be more appropriate to work in pens with non-erasable ink. So if you're really more than serious with amping up your line fearlessness in gesture drawing, then I might and may suggest going for our interactive drawing tutorial right here.

The logic behind this drawing tutorial is therefore, your lines can and will become even more fierce and toughest in your acting and motions for sketches for 5-30 second drawings, while in the 1-5 min poses, you can and will be able to rough and churn out the forces, then you can and will be able to sculpt out you silhouettes and proportions in your poses and attitudes for the more final touches in a quicker timeframe, depending.

My hat's off to you, even if you're working with the boxes for the more basic relationships of the drawings.

I don't know if I'm sure if I would and could answer this, but I can and will try......

There's lots of ways to slow yourself down, at least two of them, I think. One, is the quickest warmup method in the interactive drawing tutorial here. And second of all, it's a thing called Line, Speed, Beauty. It's basically from like a Taekwondo martial arts, but with anything you do, first you need to learn the edge, then you can get good at loosening yourself up, and then you need to make it rawest. It's the expertise you want and need to achieve in order to make your sketches simplest. Thanks so much.

Hello and good morning, JoltyBeans. How are you?

Greater job on your solider poses of your quicker cats with as fewest lines possible. I love the lines of action, and I love the lines of rhythm, but they don't have enough flow and fluidity yet. Would you mind if I ask you if you could do just 103 poses of cats and animals with 28 seconds for each pose of animals, using our custom class mode, right here on Line of Action?

The rationale behind that feedback is because you can, shall, and in the future, will have boiled down your feline poses but made them more simpler in style and execution. And to make them more fluider but less stiffer. So for most details, please look into Gesture Drawing for Animation PDF online(W. Stanchfield). My hat's off to you!

Hello, Kati. If you're looking for a figure drawing tutorial, may I suggest you an interactive one on our drawing website?

The reason why is because, regardless of your skill set and experience with gesture drawing, it would be most extremely effective in polishing up your ideation sketching skills. Thank you.

Hello and good day, Jolty. Say, greatest works on your quickest of sketches of your animals. Almost half of 'em are all the cutest I've ever seen in my life! First impression: they are like the cutest concept character sketches. Second impression: This one's cuter, and that one's the cutest!! Third, I'm gonna download 'em all, and keep your anime character design for gesture drawing warmups. And furthermore, most greatest job on your gestures and loosest lines of action in your animals in terms of the most holistic shapes of them. Yet, almost all of them seem too rigidest in terms of the edges and spaces and relationships of more of those critters. Would you like to kindly work most fastest, loosest but funniest in terms of your lines and shapes? By doing 101 drawings for 30 seconds per sketch??

The logical premise behind all of this criticism is because, just by doing this warmup session, your gestural line quality can, shall, must, and furthermore will improve million-fold. So for even most details, please be sure to collect the animal anatomy books on the Recommended Books page, including the Mike Mattesi one. I won't tell the art police on you. My hat's off to you.

Hello and good morning, Mihoy. Welcome. Say, you're doing a far nicer job on attempting to share us your images. I'd love to critique your images, but the links are dead, so would you like to please go for Imgur or whatever more reliable to post your drawings there?

The reason why you could and would and should do this thing is because, it's a more safer but more reliable way to share your works on Line of Action. All in all, if I was to give you some construcive critiques, I'd say just have more and more self faith in yourself and anything and everything that you do and can and will do. Thank you.

Hello and good morning , Rocket, and nice job on your outrageous but great exhibition of promise and potential in your loose but sketchy quality in your figure drawings. I really have a greatly huge admiration of your industry in your light studies. I think you need to add this sketch to your portfolio, but I really feel that these poses are really, very, far too blunt but dull but soft. Would you like to please make your gestures more loose but more pointed but more sharp with our interactive drawing tutorial here?

The reason why is because you can and will be able to help you loosen up but liven up your forces and gestures and line quality and therefore be able to get the broad gist of your poses you could like to share in our community right here. So for most details, please refer to the Vilppu Drawing Manual PDF. Hats off to you.

Yes, that is true. But I critique their "works" by asking them for their, quote, unquote, drawings and goals, but I report some of them anyway. See what I'm saying? See what I mean?😢

Hello, Hana, and welcome to LOA. I'm Polyvios and how are you doing today? Nice job posting some nothing images, but why are they all nothing. Would you please post some images on Imgur, so that we can see what you're working on?

The reason why is because, we really need to see what you're working on in terms of drawings and goals. Thank you.
