My current goal is: Better understand human anatomy, so I can render imagined poses

I agree with you can do better if you have a better understanding of human anatomy - to include muscle & bone structure. The internet has a great deal of information on the subject. As you go along in your study make drawings that you can keep handy so you can refer to them. I see that you start off with stick figures (good). With the stick figure, you can work out the movement of your figure. You can then fill out your figure. You can render the figure in any pose you imagine. It will take practice and will not occur overnight. The figures I see you have drawn show you have talent.
Remember: Practice makes better.

Hey Jordankinsley,
Really good sketches, the use of the gesture is working out well for you. I like the bends you're getting from the figures. My suggestion for now is to practice drawing the figure with shapes/forms using the simple shapes: cube, sphere, cylinder. With these shapes you'll be able to break-down any complicated subject and make the drawing process easier.

great dynamic poses with a lot f life in them. Maybe the proportions of the limbs are a bit too exaggerated? this is also my impression for the dancers, where the poses might go too far (which is easier to fix)
