Good work. The drawing nicely captures the model's mood and certainly a very clear representation of his face, and with only a few lines.

Hello once more Jan H. Nicest work on your loosest freedom of movement of the lines and shapes and spaces of your facial expression above. I love your sense of forms and relationships of the face. Though these things are all wonderful, but they are all too stilted to me yet. Would you like to please be the most gutsiest in your outlines with a 5 minute blind contour drawing with a black brush pen?
The reason why is because your right side of the brain can and will become the least stiffest and the most dynamic, holistic, and spontaneous. So for most details, please also look into a free online library copy of Nick Meglin's Drawing From Within.
Good luck to your greatest progress.

Great job, Janhackstrom !
You've captured the essence of this portrait with very few lines. Everything is evenly distributed, which is good but also what makes the drawing somewhat weak.
Try to create a focal point by adding details or shading. For example, really detail the eyes, this way the viewer will have a point of interest to focus on and it will give your drawing more personality.
Keep it up, you're on the right track ! ;)

Thanks for the critique, Myfo! That focal point is not a bad idea. I'll try it.
