I think what would help you the most would be trying to first build up the body of simple 3D forms (such as cylinders for upper and lower arms and the Same for legs, & something like a rectangular prism or a 3D tombstone shape for the torso, etc.) and not focusing very much on the outer contours of the form for now.
Good point, Randodoodley. I tried to do the mannequin drawing and I want to draw for the next figures.
July 12, 2024 12:35pm #32081is the rigidity of the rudimentary and basic nature of the simplest but most geometric forms of the mannequin figure, unless you're really want to apply and really need to apply contour and gesture drawing to establish the lines of action

I always want to have a mannequin for drawing the poses. But there are digital toos to mimic and put details in teh drawing.

July 10, 2024 7:24pm #32013I have seen some lessons or lectures from a challenge I had. While I'm learning, the guy mentioned that there are some issues when you do the poses from a wooden mannequin because the limbs and their angles, which I disagree. Instead, they suggested using a 2D one in order to mimmic the poses from the photo references.
