I really like the way you draw the eyes in the photo included and that you have a good foundation to start drawing faces. If you want to look into improving faces, I would look into the loomis method and as well doing art studies of the human skull. The better understanding you have drawing a 3d form like the face, the more creative freedom you get having a better understanding with 3d form in mind. Keep up the good work!

If you want your drawings to look more human. I would recommend looking into Proko’s YouTube channel and as well the loomis method to get a better understanding of facial proportions. As long as you keep consistent practice and focus on your art fundamentals drawing faces will feel more natural overtime c:
For short thumbnails, I think the images are still readable and it’s a very good start! If you want to capture recognizable shapes in your work. I would recommend looking into doing primitive shape studies and looking into perspective to make drawing environments more easier to identify shapes. If anything keep it up!
If you want to try to use less lines in your gesture drawings. I would reccomend sketching with a ball-point pen instead of a pencil when you do your gesture drawings.
From my experience, using a pen made me consider more my lines and proportions as well. Since with a ball-point pen, you aren't able to erase your mistakes which you can use the information where you notice the mistake in your art to redo the drawing closer to the correct proportions.
Don't be at all afraid to make mistakes in your sketches. The more comfortable you are with the medium you are working with, the better it is in the long run with improving your linework.
Hope that helps!
