OK, we are doing hands. You are correct the fingers have 3 joints which bend. The thumb also has 3 but it is up into the hand. I would use a stick frame to start off drawing the hand. You can look at it as a wireframe because you can position the joints in many positions. You can then flesh them out. You have done a really good start on hands. More practice, please.
