day 36- upside-down practice

love the suggestions i have been getting to practice drawing.

I tried drawing this girl upside down to force my brain to slow down on picking up details, and then I redrew it. I notice my porportions are getting a lot more accurate and I'm drawing a little slower.

The first I traced my image with confident lines it probably took closer to 30 minutes... then the second image I drew the traced image upside down section by section, then I wanted to see if this method was any help and I redrew the image upright the third time like I usually practice.

You are proving that Practice Makes Better. The drawing on the right & the middle are just fine. The one on the left is a little ruff. Draw your figures in all different positions. Practice, practice and then practice some more. Date your drawings. One of these days you will wake up and realize that you make it, you are there.

More than nicer job you've done, Jordan Kinsley. That's very, very good.

I am really gonna give you my suggestion for improvement right here, please. Again, I am feeling a little bit of rigidity slowing melting away on your hand. Why don't you try sketching and tracing another image, flipped upside down, in 19 minutes, pretty please?

The reason why you could do this is because, if your goal is to observe what you're looking at in a flat images, then you'll very much improve dramatically.

Hope it's been completely and totally valuable.

Stay healthy and wealthy.
