Longer draw but in tension

by Naima, May 25th 2023 © 2023 Naima

Done as part of a practice session with poses of 2 minutes in length.

My current goal is just to keep on miving and not to drop my habit to draw

Polyvios Animations

Please be more nicer to yourself, Naima, and kindly enjoy the process of figure sketching. Greater job on your forces and shapes of the bodies I'm seeing here. Greater job, indeed, but I'm not getting enough of that more exaggerated expression of the lines of action, balance, and rhythm. How would you like to please free up you shoulders and arms with 30 minutes of 15 second pose sketches and scribbles? (1800/15=120 scribblier drawings of poses and attitudes)

The arguement behind the critique/request is because, to help you be more nicer to yourself and enjoy the process of quicker sketching even more like never before. For more and even more info, look into this video down below, on quick sketching.

Please take this video with a littler grain of salt. Let's hope this has encouraged and supported you.

Thanks gave me some of the original fun back which I had, when starting.

Nice use of shape. but as you are working, try to work on thick-to-thin lines in your two-minute draws over the next month or so. I think you will see a lot of improvement.

A bigger challenge-

I know these are just figure draws for mechanics, but try to place a bit of emotion into even your short gestures. If these become more interesting, your final works will be even more so.

All the best,
