I can see that you are using ovals to help visualize the forms but for the short time poses, focus more on the line of action and the gesture, before you break down into the ovals. Work big instead of small. Consider the shape of the whole body, the whole arm, and the whole leg before breaking it down into the individual segments and the joints. Hope that makes sense.
