I'd recommend for you to try to do a single line, instead of a broken line with many strokes. It may be hard now but then it goes natural.

Also use most of your time to make shorter drawings, maximum 5 minutes. Also repeating a pose, and trying it over and over on fast drawings works for me... because if i don't get the feel of the gesture, i try again and again.
