Hi,
Yesterday (Sunday) I spend 1:26 hrs practicing Faces & Expressions, followed by a 5-minute cooldown of 30-second figures. The practice log only shows the last 5 minutes of practice for Sunday though?
I have not corrected the log for this yet.
Details:
I was doing detailed face studies/painting, so permitting up to the full 2 hrs minutes per image. I exited the session from the first image, after 1:26 hrs, via the "stop" button, and returned back to the main LoA website.
The image countdown was paused several times via the "pause" button, but was always restarted - it showed approx. 40 minutes remaining when I exited.
This was followed by a 10-image set of 30 second figure studies, which was completed.
Just posting to confirm, that the practice time tracking is currently a bit wonky. Sometimes times are just not recorded at all, sometimes they don't seem to be recorded in the ongoing session, but do show up after closing the page and logging in again, sometimes they work fine as intended. Haven't detected a clear repeatable pattern yet, but overall it happens quite often.
Okay, thanks for confirming that - I hadn't seen any other posts adressing it.
Regardless, you guys do incredible work on the website!
Thank you so much for this detailed report. I will see what I can find out about it!
In the meanwhlie, please do feel free to correct your log.
Just a heads up, following another report (via email) I was able to discover a circumstance where very occasionally a person ends up with more than one record in the database for study time for a particular day. If this happened, you might have a situation where the first record recorded, say, 7 seconds, and then the second one was where all the other time was stored. But the one the site was showing was the first one. So it would effectivly freeze your practice time for the day, despite it technically being recorded somewhere.
This may not have been what you were experiencing in this report, but it was one circumstance that would lead to this outcome. I've tightened up checks to make sure we don't end up with duplicates going forward, and also added a script that will search for them every few hours and correct them if they happen to slip through. So that's one potential hole plugged!
