I was born and raised in The Netherlands, but I teach concurrent enrollment Drawing 1 and Painting 1 in a Denver, Colorado high school (students earn college credits alongside high school credits). I'd love to connect with other teachers here and exchange experiences. Any location, any grade levels, we can all learn from each other (I always get great ideas from elementary teachers for my high school lessons). Maybe even a student collab project?
Right now my drawing students are working on drawing an animal of their choice. My painting students are painting a monochromatic skull on a black canvas to learn about value and transparent layers.

Interesting. We had a company come to our school who create VR trainings for ER medical students to simulate situations that are tough to practice in a real live setting. They use digital artists. Different than medical illustration, but sort of related. Explore it and also career opportunities.
