these are very nice! i really like the hatching effect

i suggest drawing the line of action for the feet first and just some simple shapes, triangle for the 'body' of the foot, oval for the big toe, and a smaller rounded triangle for the rest of the toes
then going over and adding form

just to practice keeping the proportions, shape and movement right

    looks rlly good!

After some advice on digital drawing from Drago Nano, and these videos 1 2

I gave myself as much time as I needed, trying to get used to the feel of digital drawing, resulting in this! (Based on this reference)

    Further advice and/or critique appreciated!

    Ah thank you!

With me being new to digital art, turning down the stabilizer didn't even occur to me lol

Are there any types of pens I should look for, or is it more trial and error do you think?

I haven't really been practicing with a goal in mind, so I think setting one will help (probably anatomy, and creating dynamic poses)
For those 30s ones I hadn't been sketching out the line of action, nor the sorta basics of the body, but I think that may also help.

And I use the Sakura Micron Brush pens in red, blue, and black

    Thanks for the advice!

    I really appreciate the feedback!

And you're absolutely right, I definitely need to get a hang of the 'feel' of digital drawing before anything else.

Thank you for suggesting those exercises and resources!

    Hey there!
Some advice that could help, (and I know is easier said than done lol) is to practice drawing what you're seeing, and not what you know.

I think to make these a bit less stiff, you should practice more curving lines, and dissect the bodies that you're seeing into smaller pieces.
The tutorial that line-of-action provides, is easy to overlook, but it is quite useful. Link here, here, and here

Other than that, practice does help a lot :)

I'm fairly new to digital drawing, so I thought I'd do some figure drawing to help.

Any tips? I feel like they don't look clear, kinda messy

Hi, I kinda just joined and am not really sure where to go, but what I've seen so far has been pretty helpful :)
