My current goal is: Improve at correctly capturing the overall proportions of the human form
Aunt Herbert
Your lines seem a bit insecure, searching for the form. And you aren't that far off, the proportions are almost right, the details are almost right,..
One tip, you probably heard the name Loomis, possibly you already use it to find proportions and positions of the features of the face? If not, look it up, it ain't hard to find. Then practice just drawing it in its abstract forms, with its few clear lines, without shadows. That will improve the confidence in your lines. Use your reference for a bit not so much to find the individual details, but just as a suggestion for positioning and orientation of the Loomis abstraction, just to get used to capturing a face with fewer, bolder lines.
Keep starting every face from the Loomis abstraction, (slight pre-sketch in graphite) and going for individualization of the features second. Aim to use few and simple lines, but draw them deliberately. Avoid jumping to rendering (drawing the shadows), before you nailed the features.

Good job on quickly roughing out the proportions, angles, spaces and construction of this face above, geo.
Well, you know, I think you're on the right track in your current goal (yet I think really you're talented), and I completely feel that some of the angles and facial proportions are a bit too sketchy-like and a teensy bit too timid there, yet a bit too evenly proportioned. Would you please free yourself up and loosen yourself up with a 5 minute facial expression warm-up?
The reason why you could and would do this is because, to help make your facial relationships (proportions and angles) less stiffest, and the most fluid, and the most liveliest and caricatured.
Good luck to you, and I hope you've found this helpful
