Figure Drawing 29 (Now with musing)

Done as part of a 30 minute class.

My current goal is: Better understand human anatomy, so I can render imagined poses

---

I'm having fewer major revisions at later stages of these images and I feel my overall accuracy has improved. However, I'm still unhappy- in part because I think I, like many people, over estimate what figure drawing should be.

I am a being in love with details, I will use over thirty layers in an image, easily. I enjoy subtle washes, tiny differentiations, elaborate ornamentation. Figure drawing is the antithesis of that.

While I believe that this is very benefitial and the practice measuring overall size and distance with my eyes is hugely helpful, I'm not certain I'll ever be happy with my figure drawings.

But of course like all beings, I'm eternally mercurial. Next week I may love these. Who knows.
