Hi! I didn't realize that environmental gestures were a thing until Line of Action so I'm not quite sure what I should be looking out for! :')
I realize I struggle to capture any recognizable shapes within 30 seconds to a minute, so apologies if some of these really don't look like much! Any and all feedback and critique is welcome! Overlining is welcome too! I'm afraid I don't know what I don't know, haha!

For short thumbnails, I think the images are still readable and it’s a very good start! If you want to capture recognizable shapes in your work. I would recommend looking into doing primitive shape studies and looking into perspective to make drawing environments more easier to identify shapes. If anything keep it up!

Gotcha! That's heartening to hear regardless and I'll keep at it. I'll very try starting from primitive shapes first and move my way up then! :)

I like how you do it! If you're doing it digitally, prolly one thing i can recommend you to try is to use lasso fill to color shapes, it may help to block in colors 🤔🤔🤔
It can be found in clipstudio/ibispaint/krita :0
Honestly im looking further into seeing more envoironment studies on this site! Your work reminds me of my own studies I did here. xD maybe i'll post em too.
