I do "Figure Study" every day with the same settings, so I just click "Quick Start" and go into my usual flow. On a whim, I did the Ballet playlist once, and now every time I click "Quick Start" it just goes back to that playlist page. I've done my regular studies since then, and it displays visually as my usual settings, but it isn't working as expected.
It sounds like you've given yourself a good answer, the way I see it. Focusing on the overall gesture, then expanding on the form when you have built up confidence, understanding, and consequently, speed.
