Thank you for critiquing my drawing. There was some light reflected on the neck (not much) on the Line-of-Action photo. There were two light sources. I always try to be accurate in my light & dark areas. Hopefully, I succeed. If you want a really dark pencil, check your local art supply store or Amazon to find a Prismacolor Ebony. Its lead is jet black. I don't like a 6B because it gives a shiny glossy finish. I will try and do better.
the only thing I can think of is seperating the shading between the head and the arm, maybe switch how the strokes are? or shade in with a different pressure pencil strokes?
