Face and facial expression study
© 2021 FiriHi everyone! I'm posting my recent 5 minutes face study. I took larger studies to try and grasp the face features and their position because I had some problems with that. For some reason, all of the faces feel quite off but I don't know why. Any critique is well appreciated! Thank you in advance!
Don't beat yourself up, please, Firis, I think you're doing fine. And I feel like you're getting on the right track in terms of lines, and in terms of the negative and positive spaces, of the faces and expressions.
So, if I could and should be able to nitpick and criticise something about those expressions, if could and would be that more of the facial expression proportions and angles (relationships) are a bit too contrived and awkward, and undertured. Would you please like to loosen up your expression caricatures with the most cartooniest effect, with 30 minutes of 2 minute quick expressive sketeches of expressions???? (15 face drawings, done fairly quickest)
The excuse why you would, could and should do this bit of advice is because, if your current goal is to improve your understanding of the overall proportions of the human face, then I say and suggest that you could and should go on board with that.
