I feel like you have a good grasp of the general motion of the poses, but in the 30 second and one minute sketches, the proportions feel off. A certain amount of this is to be expected; fast sketches aren't going to have the same refinement as longer sketches. However, particularly in the bottom right sketch of the first page, the legs are too short. I feel like this might be because you didn't want to overlap with the leg of the sketch below it. Don't be afraid to overlap! It's more important to have the best sketches you can manage then to preserve a barrier between each sketch. Overall, though, I feel like your sketches are very nice! I particularly like the bottom one on the first page- the legs have a lovely flow.

Thank you! This is the first time I've finished a sketchbook this fast, so it was certainly an experience. Thank you so much for your advice! The stiffness might have come from the self imposed pressure of trying to get it 'right'. Thanks for the reminder that art is about energy!

Also, thank you so much or your kind words! I am still a beginner artist, so it means a lot to hear good things!

This is the sketchbook I mentioned in my other post here. The first section of the sketchbook is miscellaneous things including character design and drawings of my and my friends's pets. Where it is marked 4/12/20, I started doing drawings using Line of Action. The first page is cats, followed by human figures, first clothed and then nude. All were drawn in 2-3 minutes. The next day (starting where marked 4/13/20), I started with hands (2-3 minutes), and then did quicker full body drawings (1 minute).

Any and all critique of either specifics or my technique in general would be greatly appreciated!

If you mean the page here, I've already been through it. If you mean the tools here, I've been using them. I put up the gesture drawings I did before signing up, and I have since nearly filled an entire (small) sketchbook with gesture drawings from the tool. I've been debating how much time to give before I post more sketches, and how long to wait so I don't clog the critique board.

If I may extrapolate, are you telling me to try to put more energy into my sketches?

That does work! Your sketches have incredible texture and flow and feel very weighted. I would recommend trying some exercises with figures other then the human body because you seem to have it down very well.

Your sketches have a lot of really good motion and general shapes down, but none of the sketches seem to have any particular detail aside from the one of the hand, so I would say doing some longer timed periods to get more detail in would be beneficial.

Okay, so it seems like you have a good concept of flow down. The next step is to refine it by practicing proportions. A good way that I've found to do this is to break down the image you are attempting to draw into shapes. You're already doing this, but with lines instead. Making the form into shapes gives it more tangibility and structure, and can help you understand the way it's built and how it moves.

    tl;dr,remember that what you're drawing is 3d.

Hello! I would love to give you critique, but the link doesn't seem to work. Can you try hosting the images somewhere else, like google drive or imgur?

Those look nice! Something I think could help though is maybe try drawing a line of motion and figure out how the figure follows it. Even exercises like drawing a sinple line and then trying to figure out a pose that fits it can (in my experience) help figure out how a body can follow motion. Getting figures to feel like they have natural motion can be really hard, but I think you're along the right track!

Something else that might help is doing shorter timed drawings. The less time you have, the more you're forced to focus on the big shapes and general motion, which can be good for understanding flow.

The other day I drew some quick sketches of my and a friend's cats. I'm trying to get better at getting accurate proportions down fast, and I was wondering what how I should work on that. Obviously I know I need to practice, but what should I focus on? Any critique is greatly appreciated!
