Could you share a picture or timelapse of your 10 min studies in different stages of progress? 1min in 4min in etc. Are you losing focus or do you not know what to do?

10 minutes stops being a gesture and at that point, it's a figure study. you can do a quick light underdrawing for a minute or so but after that you should be refining facial features and hands and basic shading should all be present in a longer drawing like this. Also, this brush isn't working for you. Try on with opacity or thinner lines.

You need to slow down there are too many erroneous lines you can take some time to actually look at the figure for a moment before hopping in.

Those are just my clif notes if you need more detail refer to the link Chef posted above.

Draw larger and less precise. 30s is only enough to capture the feel. Find the lowest common denominator of the figure (just one line describing the force of the pose) Your drawings should look a lot less stiff as a result. 30s gestures are for feel and motion 1-2min for rough proportion from then onward is where you can get into the details of the figure.

Build from the ground up, you don't have the knowledge yet to go from rough sketch -> final painting. Do your rough sketch then make a clean sketch then cell shade and then you can apply your advance painting techniques.

I just meant using 3d models or scans to explore the body at different angles. There are some on this site, my go-to is https://twitter.com/kamitokatachi

Krenze Cushart has some interesting methods of constructing the body in 3d space from imagination.

Paper is paper but I find lined paper too distracting. If you want something cheap I'd recommend blank newspaper.

The drawings are nice, make sure you are also doing specific studies of hands, feet, faces, etc. I would also try to up the volume of your daily drawings as that will be the number one factor for your improvement. Make sure you're also taking some time every week to draw a finished piece for fun, maybe a comic or cute illustration whichever your passion is.

Drawing the same pose in different views can help a lot with your understanding of the body.
