Yeah i was trying to do that as well, drawing a bit everyday while hearing music or something. Last week a friend of mine told me "Bro, just draw. No fear, no nothing. Just draw what you see." Then i felt.. i don't know.. lighter? Felt more confident after seeing the results (it was nothing too crazy but not bad enough for me to say "this is bad") and got back at a steady rhythm again.

Hi there. I am here for 2 or 3 months or so but practicing reading books so i didn't enter this site too much (i also am a bit shy to post things in general xD).
I started my journey around December 2023, when i drew some things at class and thought of doing something different like drawing could be fun. Then, a lot has happened and i stopped drawing for almost 9 months, returning only in August 2024 but with a new mindset, taking art seriously. But, after 3 months, in December i was really sad, looking at other people's works (i know that i shouldn't be comparing myself to others but, damn it hurts) and stopped drawing again returning only in the end of January 2025, practicing simple and fundamental skills (Basic Forms, Perspective, a bit of light and shadow).

So my question is: has anybody felt the fear of doing more complex things? To move on from only doing the basics and do more elaborated works? At least is one of the fears that i have.

Sorry for the long post! xD
