Done as part of a 30 minute class. My current goal is: Improve at correctly capturing the overall proportions of the human form
GVCCINVNA
try making the sketches just a tad lighter :3

Thank you! :) will keep that in mind.

Good work! Regarding your proportions, the pelvis in relationship to the torso feels too large, the width is around the same as the ribcage, but the ribcage should be longer. And you could give your figures a little bit more of neck around 1/3 of a head).

And I see you're doing "chicken scratch" lines, a common beginner mistake! Try doing confident, single strokes in one quick move, instead of using a lot of small strokes. Try not to do a "zigsaggy" motion back and forth when drawing your lines.

Thank you :)

No prob! trust me, it may feel akward and hard to be precise at the beginning, but as everything it comes down to practice. I suggest you check out this page: https://drawabox.com/lesson/1/2

It gives a better explanation of what I mean. It's worth giving a look to the rest of the lessons, too!

Tritominator pretty much covered all I would have said but I will emphasize the importance of the confident strokes . It will not only make your sketches neater but also when advancing in gesture drawing will show the flow and rythm better with longer smooth strokes . To get better strokes you could simply use the overhand grip(weird at first but highly recommend) or the tripod grip but hold the pencil further from the tip . Oh and also draw with your whole arm as in using your shoulder and not just your wrist . It was long but I hope it helped , keep up the great work .

Great occupation, amyrphyr, nice work on your line and ball gestures. Even so, I've got one small suggestion: Why don't you do yet another 10 minute gesture drawing, if you please??? Why?? It's because your movements will have an even lighter touch in the preliminary drawings. Hope it'll help you out.
