Dynamic Practice #1

by Bellamy Wise, August 30th 2020 © 2020 Bellamy Wise

Done as part of a practice session with poses of 5 minutes in length.

My current goal is: Reduce stiffness and make my drawings feel more dynamic, energetic, fluid

I recognize the figures for the Line-of-Action set of figures. You did a very nice job of it and the color is a nice touch. I do not feel your drawings are stiff. On a figure, you are going to draw, set up the relationship between the various elements of the figure. Example: the last figure I did the head, elbow, knee, lower leg, and foot all lined up. Also, the head, back left arm/hand, and leg lined up in a backward "c". All this tied the figure together. Analyze each figure you draw. Tie the various elements together. With practice, you can do this almost automatically. Remember: Practice makes better. So get practicing.
