Done as part of a 30 minute class.

My current goal is: Improve at correctly capturing the overall proportions of the human form

Nice to meet you. I'm participating from Japan. I would be very happy if you could give me a critique. I'm not very good at English, so I'm using translation software to write this text.

I may not be able to write a good reply, but if you give me a critique, I would like to refer to it.

I really like your way of drawing this figure, it's very clear to see the pose. And I like that you used a blue pencil to get the basic shapes and then used a black pen (or marker) to actually show details, I might start doing that myself. I also really like how you drew their hands (teach me your ways! :) ). The only thing I suggest is working on that left foot, it looks a little off to me? Otherwise this is fantastic :)

Your English is much better than my Japanese. Your proportions look fine. Remember toes and fingers are in an arc, not straight. You are doing just fine, keep up the good work. Remember: Practice makes better.

You can get additional free figures to draw on "On Air Video". I am looking forward to seeing more excellent work.

Yowza, akikoma!! That pose is weighty and so balanced, and so, so solid and dimensional! Not to mention that that's the greatest underdrawing.

Again, I've got one tiniest, littler suggestion: I love the light touch you've put in the ruff preparation, but I just can't get enough of the lightness and looseness of the lines. Would you please go for 145 more minutes of 11 second pose warm-ups???? (145 x 60/11, 8700/11=791 practice warm-ups, all flipped horizontally and/or vertically, and all with or without grayscale)

The true apprehension why you could do this is because, although it would help you out on your recent goal to refine the human proportions, it could also help you out on your perceptions of edges and spaces. But wait, there's more; check out some underdrawings on Pinterest, too!!!

Lucky break from me, and I hope you've found this definitely and absolutely helpful and encouraging.
