Spider poses to practise© 2021 Abibia
I took this character specifically to try to improve my weaknesses.
My goal is to improve my anatomy performance and make my drawings stop looking stiff, any ideas?
Love those Spider Man poses, abibia, that's a mighty great job on capturing the action and mood of those attitudes!!
My suggestion is to go with some more and more 147 minutes of 30 seconds of figure poses and Spider comic gestures. Why don't you please do that???? (147 x 60/30, 8820/30=294 manners of quick sketch)
The reason why is as a result, you be able to fairly quickly improve your anatomy through gestures in your figures, comics or real life.
Good luck with your current goal!!!!!
For stopping or reducing stiffness, I suggest practicing to reduce it with action poses as a reference, similar to the ones you've drawn here. Making a motion line helps a lot, and making that line of motion more exaggerated, or dramatic could help a lot with more dynamicity, too.
&ab_channel=DavidFinch">This video by David Finch explains more on dynamic poses, and teaches the viewer how gravity can affect the figure to make drawings more dynamic. I recommend you watch it, as it can possibly help your art come to life more.
For improving anatomy quality in general, it depends on if you're trying to improve the human body as a whole, or if you're working on a specific aspect. If it's the body as a whole, such as the head to the tip of the toes, then try studying/practicing a whole body on some days, then on other days studying/practicing a specific part of the body, too. Doing both could help with anatomy performance.
These drawings are good, but I've noticed that a few of the arms and legs are more stiff, such as the right arm in the second photo, and the right arm and leg in the first photo. Again, I would suggest exaggerating, and don't be afraid to experiment. Gravity has a good place when it comes to motion lines, and is important to reduce stiffness, so practicing on gravity and how it affects poses sets your drawings off for more dynamicity.
Hope this helps!
