© 2022 FaerileeDo the poses have cohesion between the top and the bottom? I feel as if my drawings don't look as nice as my others because I spent less time on the proportions, rendering, and anatomy and more on the line of action/cohesion. Let me know what you think!

I see whast you mean. But don't worry, if you change your approach a little, it will take some time to find the groove again. I'd suggest to exaggerate more with the line of action. Allow yourself more artistic freedom. Play around. I think I know the reference of the last drawing and it's a stiff reference. Take your drawing of it and try to push it into a more dynamic representation of state that came before or just a second after the chap was photographed. Try it a couple of times. Perhaps try that a few times at the end of your sessions. Take one and try to push it further, without using a photo, just your drawing. If you are using digital medium, I'm not sure. You could try switching to a pencil.

Good evening, faerilee, and welcome back to LOA! How do you do tonight? Greatest job on your lines of action, lines of rhythm, edges, perceptions of spaces and relationships (proportions and angles). Please keep up the greatest stuff. Always practice, learn, and grow.
However, some of the forms in the bottom are a bit too rigidest and stiffest to me in your storytelling drawings. They all don't look alive and motivated from within enough to me. How would you like to loosen up your relationships, spaces, and edges with 30 minutes of 2 minute gesture poses? The reason why is because, to make your drawing elements and principles the least rigidest and stiffest, and the most dynamic, action-packed, and spontaneous. For most info, look into these links for those books: the Ben Caldwell book, Action! Cartooning,Nick M.'s Drawing From Within, and Walt Stanchfield's Drawn to Life 1. and these two books on archive.org by Stanchfield. Good luck to you, and I really hope you've found all of these and more the most supportive and helpful.
