My first day of practice :)

by Fackita, April 10th 2024 © 2024 Fackita

Done as part of a practice session with poses of 2 minutes in length.

My current goal is: I don't know! I am an absolute beginner; I'm here to study the basics of rendering

I am from Argentina, I have been drawing for 2 years and last week I bought my first graphics tablet to enter the world of digital drawing

Polyvios Animations

Hello and good evening, Fackita.

Welcome aboard, I'm Polyvios, but you could call me Poly, and how are you?

I do say, that your action lines and lines of rhythm and tempo in your facial expression is completely and totally coming off;especially the forms and spaces of the drawing. And I adore how it looks like a ponytailed man with as fewer lines as possible. But, I'm not really getting enough of that flow and fluidity of the curves and the straights yet. Would you like to please just go ahead with 4 minutes of 1 minute faces and expressions, all underhanded, and with either medium of traditional, digital, and tradigital, the app doesn't matter. Only the drawings matter.

The reason why is any of the fundamentals of drawing you can practice by yourself, you can still apply them to either application and medium. As they all say,

Practice doesn't make perfect. Practice makes progress, and progress makes perfect.

Good luck to you on your next drawing posts!

Fackita

Hello Poly! Thank you very much for answering my first drawing. I thought that lines of action could only be used in figure drawing, could you explain all the terms you mentioned to me? "Lines of action" "Lines of rhythm and time"

And what do you recommend I do as a beginner beyond practice?

Aunt Herbert

Well done. Your 2 years of practice clearly show in your understanding of the shapes of a human head, and the hand.
