Purpose and Goals of Practice The main goal of this week's practice was to deepen the understanding of character movements, poses, and details. We focused on the following points: Expressing animal skeletons and shapes through gestures Improving line quality and flow Basics of perspective drawing Representation of light and shadow Quick sketching and character drawing Practice Content Throughout the week, various approaches were taken for practice. Here are some of the highlights: 1. Animal Croquis We focused on expressing the skeletons, shapes, and characteristics of animals through quick gestures. By capturing movements swiftly, we aimed for more realistic animal depictions. 2. Perspective Drawing Practice We practiced basic perspective drawing to enhance the sense of depth in our sketches. Using one-point to three-point perspective techniques, we attempted to draw buildings and landscapes. 3. Line Practice To improve line quality and flow, we practiced drawing continuous lines. By experimenting with different ways of applying pressure, we aimed for smoother lines. 4. Character Drawing and Shading We practiced drawing characters and shading. We challenged ourselves to complete the drawings within a specified time, focusing on how to apply shadows considering the light source. We plan to focus on the following areas in future practice sessions: Reviewing Center of Gravity and Balance: Some character drawings showed instability in the center of gravity. We need to continue practicing while checking the position of the center of gravity. Improving Line Quality: Many lines were broken, so we will continue practicing drawing continuous lines for smoother lines. Increasing Pose Variations: Poses tended to be monotonous, so we will make efforts to increase variations by referring to different poses. Learning Perspective Drawing: Some parts lacked a sense of depth, so we will deepen our understanding by studying perspective drawing through reference books and online materials. Improving Light and Shadow Representation: Some parts had unnatural shading. We will strengthen our practice by focusing on shadow application considering the light source. Reflecting on this week's practice results, we aim for further improvement and will continue to work hard. Thank you for your continued support!
