Hello! First time posting here and have really enjoyed the tools on here. I've been feeling a little stuck on my techniques lately and have wanted to get some exterior feedback. My routine has been 20 minute warm up, 20 minute study and 20+ of whatever. I use gesture drawing as part of my warm up, specifically 5 minutes on two poses (rest of the time is spent on other smaller exercises).

Previously I drew normally (ie drawing primitives for the body) and just kinda rushed to get the body done but lately I've taken a new approach to it where I just don't do that and just focus on, well, the overall shape. The first image is over the course of multiple days (past week more or less) and the second is what I've been doing for the past few days.

with the new approach I notice my heads being a little off in proportions I feel but I kinda had that issue before and using construction typically fixes that for me. Either way, I started drawing everyday consistently for a little over half a year so I still have a lot to get through (currently trying to get my pelvis' looking better).

TLDR - Let me know if there's any glaring issues or what I should focus more on, like my line confidence or my control for example!

its notable that you study the basics well.

allow yourself to exaggerate the flow and dynamic of the poses. they become stiffer as you add details. (not just for you, thats general) allow yourself to draw more on feel and not specific what you see.
