Acerca de Rose Correa
I'm an aspiring artist, learning to enhance my skills, as I know I will always be a student in life, and there are teachers for every area. I went to the Art Institute of Decatur, then Atlanta for Media Arts and Animation,a total of three years, life happened and I didn't finish nor did I get my degree yet, I also hit a big slump and quit drawing after I left the Art Institute for about 2- 3 years felt like I was the worst artist on the planet, nothing ever went right, I started two different jobs that made how I felt inside worse, so I came out to Cali to get a fresh start but home is Georgia which after school I plan on going back,I plan getting my degree here in Oxnard California for Traditional Art, I start hopefully in September this year.
I mainly have been doing digital art for last few years but traditional art is where I started and where I feel the best of my skills are . I haven't been drawing or practicing everyday like I should. I also am turning a year older on August 10th, and I plan to change myself for the better, I am a big procrastinator, and lots of self doubt, sometimes I draw really fast and like to see the end result and I hope to slow down alittle to be able to "understand" the figure that I'm drawing, and even though I have done many great things but the biggest and main source of negativity I believe is myself, but my Mother is my biggest supporter and current critic, she is a RN for 32 years so whenever she says a hand, foot or body part looks off I know she knows what shes talking about,
but I hope to find extra help here and school when I start as well and dismiss the voices that tell me I can't do anything right, and that I'm not an artist, I get a lot of art block from time to time, which doesn't help either, but my mother recently bought me some compression gloves because my hands have gotten worse with cramps.
I hope a mentor reads this a is able to help me, I also know daily practice is a must as well. Thanks in advanced.
