Done as part of a 1 hour class as the end sketch. I know its not very clean, but I think Im improving! I used a much bigger brush for the cloth.

My current goal is: Improve at correctly capturing the overall proportions of the human form

Nice sketch, but, have you done the 30 minute class yet, please? The tip is: pick up a copy of Hogarth's Dynamic Wrinkles and Drapery, please.

Thank you for posting me your work.

I think you need to train the legs a bit more, but overall I think it is amazing

Yeah, wasn't a fan of them myself lol, but thank you for your comment! I'll see about spending more of my practice on them

Hi!

If I see correctly, your proportions are more or less on point, good job! As a commenter before me noted, the legs still need work, it gets a bit stiff below the waist.

Also, and you know it too, the lines are a bit scratchy. Do you draw from the wrist or from the shoulder? If you do the latter, putting down long, strong marks will become easier, and you'll be able to put down forms with more certainty, so you can focus on actually making the anatomy right. At least that was my experience.

Keep up!

Thank you very much for your critique! I have been trying to draw much more from my shoulder lately versus my wrist for line confidence, never did like the scratchy lines haha. Probably just left over muscle memory from my middle and high school days.

Thanks again!
