Had a old pokemon stoy sitting around my apartment and thought I'd try a still life. I'm really hopeing the shading came out okay?

Nice job on your Pikachu toy construction, excellence to you! But I've got one small request: Why don't you pay attention to the forces more than the shading, in 30 seconds; if you haven't already, please??? Pretty please???

Polyvios Animations.

P.S. If you did that, your toy will be drawn less stiffer, and more solider, and more fluider.

Thank you. Yeah I got too caught up in the shading I think without focusing on the flow. That is generally what I want to improve with my practice. I think my problem is, even when I try to look at figures and subjects, I get too caught up in the details which is part of the reason my drawings look so stiff. You mentioned in one of your other critiques to study more figures. Would that help with drawings like this to?

Yeah, Momo. The reason why it'll help you out on your studies, is because you can focus on some very basic fundamentals like gestures, forces, and construction, and more.

Hope you'll find it another asset.

Oh, yeah; Here's my link to a Blog to help you out further into your studies of toy construction: John K. Stuff’s Toy Construction 1 Click here. The reason being, is that you can get a better control and/or understanding of sketching and drawing cartoony (non-anatomical) shapes from all positions, and all angles. Hope you find it completely helpful today.
