Upside Down Face 27-Second Warm-Up Sketch

by Polyvios Animations, December 2nd 2020 © 2020 Polyvios Animations

Done as part of a practice session with poses of 27 seconds in length.

My current goal is: Improve my understanding of the forces of the facial skull, in terms of my facial anatomy.

Here is another upside down face warm-up right above there. Forgive my scribbly nature, but that's the best I can do to make it most funnier at this point, but I'm making greatest progress on my new goal on my facial skull, but I'm struggling a little bit, but I'm hardly struggling at all at this time.

So, what do you think of this warm-up of the upside-down face?

Hi Polyvios! I have been wondering for a while, not about this particular drawing but in general: you talk a lot about being more loose and fluid and dynamic with your drawings. That is a good goal but I am wondering, what to you is the difference between loose and free vs. just scribbling?

Not surprised, aliencommando, of what you just asked. As you can see, scribbling is a form of "loosening up," or 'warming up," if you will. Not to mention, that drawing looser and freer is even more so than warming up, just for the final of the rough concept, so to speak.(even if they don't have to be cleaner for clarity all the time) I'm really doing it all for the process. See what I'm saying?

By the way, thanks for the comment.

P.S. I'd really, totally, and completely like to be mostly economic with making sketches with only one line.
