29-Second Janna From Memory

by Polyvios Animations, July 23rd 2021 © 2021 Polyvios Animations

Done as part of a practice session with poses of 29 seconds in length.

My current goal is: Improve my figure drawing forces, gestures, acting, actions, thoughts and feelings, most quickly.

Yet another scribble sculpture from yesterday. It's of my Janna from Memory. Though she doesn't wear lipstick like that in the original TV cartoon series, Disney's Star Vs. The Forces of Evil.

So, what do you think of this one?

Aunt Herbert

I can see the typical big eyes of a Disney figure, and the lips pointed to the side.

I am not 100% certain what happens underneath her chin.

Using the same scribbling to indicate the black shapes of her hair that you use for drawing her features and outlines is a bit problematic, although the difference is somewhat clear in this sketch.

I would suggest not sacrificing everything to the god of faster lines and try to learn some amount of control, too, to take the burden of deciphering away from your viewer and take on that work yourself as an artist.
