Gesture 1 min poses

by Jlara215, December 21st 2023 © 2023 Jlara215

Trying to understand the process of finding the gesture without looking to deep into it and letting go of trying to get the "perfect" outline.

Any advice/critique is greatly appreciated.

Thank you,

JL

I uploaded a few basic shortcuts for heads, ribcage and hips, that you could try to use. Looks a bit scrappy, maybe I'll do it cleaner some other day. Only draw head, ribcage/w shoulders and hips for now, and try to pose them correctly.

SaltSimulacrum is uploading a lot of quick sketches, that demonstrate very well, what you should try to go for in quick sketches ultimately, although they are already proficient enough to skip indicating the masses directly.

And check out specifically this course: https://www.proko.com/course/figure-drawing-fundamentals/overview , the free lessons will be absolutely enough.

Hello, Jlara.

Greatest works on your strongest strength and ambition in your figural gesture poses. I just completely love your flow, fluidity, and plasticity in your pose sketches. Yet, I'm still not getting enough of that boldest and powerful exaggeration yet. I totally want most of this thing. Would you care to go for 16 minutes of 20 second poses, all drawn from your underhand position, and all drawn from your non-dominant hand 🤚?? (16x60=960/20=48 poses)

The logical conclusion behind this thing as consequently, your lines of action and rhythm can and will become the most strongest and emotional in your edges and your liveliest quality. For most details, please look into the Shamus Culhane book on quick sketching right here???

Let's hope you'll find these positively, definitely, and absolutely concrete.
