    Hi Olivia! 😄

Your drawings are great! I'm noticing alot of sharp lines, which I think is just a matter of beginning somewhere. You've taken the steps to start, so don't be too hard on yourself. If you look at one of your drawings, you have lovely flowing lines directing us where to look. Those are the types of lines you want to use when doing gestures. Be loose and have fun. Don't worry about your proportions initially. That comes in time, the more you practice the more your brain will "see". This advice might not be very helpful right now haha but it just takes time and practice. Get used to the movements and the rest will follow.

If you're having trouble doing 30 seconds, give yourself more time! Give yourself a minute or two and take that extra 30 seconds to just look at the pose and feel it out through observation.

Shading is so difficult! But my advice would be to curve your shading with the shape that you are trying to express and not just lay down a flat layer. Also, try to vary the tones within your shadow shape. Does this make sense? 🤣 Proko have really good course on shading that give you some nice fundamentals to play with. The language can be a bit confusing initially, but just observe and try to put it into practice in a way that makes sense to you. https://www.proko.com/course/secrets-of-shading/lessons

Thank you Polyvios! When you say "1 hour of 1 minute attitudes, using the horizontal flip?" - what exactly do you mean? 1 min poses where I draw the pose the opposite way that I see it? So if the model is facing left, I draw them facing right? Thanks again 😄

Hi Loiss! I think your figures are beautiful and have a lot of potential, especially the last one with the twist in her body, you've captured that really well. And congratulations on asking for feedback, it can be scary, but you're done it now and I hope you get alot out of it! I would say that the timer is your friend. When I first started my heart would go crazy knowing I only had 30 seconds, but now that I'm use to it, it doesn't even factor in for me anymore. I think you should challenge yourself and stick to the timer, it doesn't matter if you don't complete the pose, I still don't alot of the time haha but I feel I've learnt something because I spent the time studying the pose visually and doing the mental backflips to understand the rythm of the pose in my head. Have you tried class mode? I find it super helpful because you get short poses to wake your brain & hand up. Best of luck with your work & I'll look forward to seeing more of your work in the future 😀

Hello! I've been using LOA for a while but have been seriously cracking down on my practice and striving to improve over the last 5 months. My goal is to be able to create poses from "imagination" that feel fluid and dynamic. I'm trying to acheive this through consistant practise and building up my visual library so I can create poses on the spot without relying too heavily on reference images. Feedback my the gesture, flow and believeability of my work would be greatly appreciate. This is my first time sharing my practises and I'm excited to get some pointers and honest feedback from the LOA community. Thank you for taking a look!
