Done as part of a 30 minute class. My current goal is: Improve at correctly capturing the overall proportions of the human form Nice to meet you. I'm participating from Japan. I would be very happy if you could give me a critique. I'm not very good at English, so I'm using translation software to write this text. I may not be able to write a good reply, but if you give me a critique, I would like to refer to it.

Nice performance on drawing the backside, akikoma. That's very, very, very, very great!

So, if I could provide you a little trick, it would be to, in order to improve your drawing of the backs, focus on the gestures and forces of them. Why don't you please do 143 more minutes of 20 second force sketches of figure study backs???? (143 x 60/20, 8580/20=429 energy sketches) In the meantime, please check out a PDF, or an Audible of Daniel Coyle's The Little Book of Talent, with this accompanying link: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/034553025X/ref=as_li_tl?ie=UTF8&camp=1789&creative=9325&creativeASIN=034553025X&linkCode=as2&tag=lineofactio04-20&linkId=4d043b5519830dca77cf5fc0855d7f15

The arguement why you would do this drawing tip is because, it can and shall help make your backshots more believable in gestures, and furthermore, that Audible will help you out on refining and polishing your talent in anything.

Good luck, and I hope you'll find these completely and totally productive and intuitive.

Hello!

I think your proportions are good, continue to exercise! My advice would be to draw the "line of action" first. It will gives more looseness to your drawings, make the poses feel more natural and dynamic. Don't be afraid to exagerate the poses (the exaggeration will balance out when you build the design in more detail, it's pretty surprising you'll see). This process will teach you to see the proportions much faster, just with a few lines! It can take some time, but do reaserches, there is a lot of great youtube videos on this topic (check "Proko" it's a channel on youtube)

You doing great, wish you the best :D
