Done as part of a 1 hour class.

My current goal is: Reduce stiffness and make my drawings feel more dynamic, energetic, fluid

I love the shading, and the proportions are realistic

Daydream23,

Draw bigger. It is hard to tell the difference in shading between your ten and your 30-minute drawing.

When we draw small, we have less opportunity to engage our elbow and shoulder. Plus, you don't learn how those details fit into place if you are drawing something so small. It's easier to see in a study if we draw more extensive. I promise it is not a waste of paper; it is an investment in your overall skills and visual communication.

Try to also draw with fewer figures on the page. Once we have more than one image on the page, we enter the world of composition. When we compose, we have to think about fitting the thing we are drawing around the other images previously made. This composition problem can hamper your fluidity and dynamic drawing goals because it introduces another element and can cause distraction from your goals.

Keep going!

All the best,

That's really helpful. I try to conserve paper by doing the same thing

Thanks for the tip. I find it for the shorter poses to be helpful to draw smaller! The thing is that when I start small I remain small even for the longer poses. It's a working in progress!!! :)

Great work! I like those stick figures! Although I would suggest you study human anatomy and also maybe stop using those dead straight lines? I think thats what is making your drawings appear stiff

Cheers and Good luck!

So, Daydream23, I must feel like your step is in the totally right direction, and I must do think that your poses display an excellent range of vitality, energy and motion, even in your 1 minute, and 30 second poses.

So, my greater suggestion is that though your lines of action and liveliness is definitely and positively emerging, but I'm not getting enough of the range of speed and humor in your graphic shapes or lines. Would you loosen up your hand and shoulder with 30 minutes of 1 minute drawings, and 30 minutes of 30 second sketches; if you please?

The explanation behind this tip is, as a result, you'll be able to follow through with your current goal, as described above.

Till then, thanks for posting and asking.
