I have noticed that I have a tendency to make people thinner than they actually are in my figure drawings. I had sketched this model before and definitely made them more straight-size than they are. This time I think I did a much better job on proportions.

This is a good block in, or it could be. Don't be afraid to approximate the contours with light, straight lines first, then add the curves of the form on top. Should help maintain the volume of your subject.

Hi there! Looks good! I like the shading you put into your drawing, it helps with the dimension.

Drawing people thinner than they appear is a common problem, but I've found that it helps when you're drawing the rough ribcage and hip boxes, to add in general shapes of the body, such as the stomach, arms, and legs, and refine later instead of just trying to connect the body from the ribcage and hip boxes without the added shapes.

Good job and have a blessed day!
