5 minute pose - session 4

Done as part of a 30 minute class. My current goal is: Reduce stiffness and make my drawings feel more dynamic, energetic, fluid

I'm not really a master of figure art, ZeRui, however, nicest work on your latest post, yet, I've got one small recourse: Would you like to loosen up your solid forces and forms in yet another 10 minute pose, pretty, pretty please, please?? The reason why is because, your overall proportions of the human form will become even more than spotaneous, alive, yet solider. Await and beseech that it'll work out for you.

It's looking very dynamic, very nice indeed

You can push the pivot in the hips a little more, really get that hip popping and getting that curvature into the image. Try working with less lines too, it'll help you really get into the zone of picking your lines :)

I'm student too. I´m just wondering about sketch lines...
proportions seems to be ok
I only see left draw breast and rib could be more accurated

Hope it's useful

Hi there Ze Rui

One thing I noticed with the pose is that it seems to be struggling with perspective. I can tell that the pose is viewed from below (the overlap of the breast and the under-view of the chin helps) but the lower half of the body looks more stretched out. One idea that may help is to inscribe the torso or the whole body in a box. Here is a link with a diagram labeled "flat diagram" that may help.

One thing to keep in mind is that the diagram is based on ideal proportions, so it's by no means a one size fits all tool. I would focus on the idea of using some boxes in your work as a way of working out perspective. Perspective and proportions can be tough; I have the same problems in some of my work. Keep thinking in 3-D and learn anatomy; especially the general structure and proportions of bones. That can also help out a ton with perspective. I can't wait to see more of your future work.

This is lovely. I do think the breast on the right is a little off. Im also a little confused by the left leg that has the lump coming from the thigh.
