The left thumb has some really appealling shapes to it, I think it looks awesome! I think to have it stand out even better though your lines could use some confidence! You can make good shapes out of them so dedicate to those shapes. Possibly using a brush setting that is at fulll opacity might help, it will mean you can't keep adding more and more lines since it will just become too thick.
