No problem, I appreciated the clarity of your bug report. :)
I rebuilt a bunch of core things to accommodate some of the new features that were released in a hurry yesterday (in a hurry because so many art departments are being closed by coronavirus), I'm honestly surprised that that appears to be the only thing I broke in that scramble. But I'm pleased it was an easy, quick fix.
March 20, 2020 9:57pm #25329I'm a big fan of the RPR mods, honestly. There's nothing better!
March 20, 2020 8:25pm #25325Welcome testers! Do you get an activity alert when I post this? :)
March 20, 2020 8:13pm #25324Whoops, I must have broken this yesterday when I was installing the other updates. I'll upload a fix right now (you may need to do a hard refresh to see it immediately, ctrl-shift-r works for this in most windows browsers).
Thanks for bringing this to my attention!
March 20, 2020 4:44am #25322I'm really enjoying seeing the range of different exercises and studies you are engaged in!
1March 20, 2020 4:29am #25321You are brave! Drapery and fabric is some of the hardest stuff to get right.
I remember when I was working on this in college, every day when I came into the studio there would be a different kind of fabric crumbled up on a table, with a very strong light pointed at it from one direction. We'd then spend quite awhile, up to an hour, trying to render the fabric in charcoal. I think this would be a pretty easy setup to replicate at home, if you wanted to give it a go.
1March 20, 2020 4:27am #25320Haaa, that is adorable. <3
March 20, 2020 4:27am #25319Hey, welcome!
You might want to pick up some of the Loomis books, like "Figure Drawing for All It's Worth"
I guess we can't go outside anymore to borrow library books, but possibly you could get it off amazon? We've got links to some of the best loomis books on amazon in the store section. :)
March 20, 2020 4:12am #25318You could right click and "save image as" on your photos, but we don't have a method for zipping them up. Ping my inbox (https://line-of-action.com/user/message/kim) and I'll see if I can help you personally on this one. :)
March 19, 2020 3:51pm #25317Just creating this topic as a hub for instructors to swap tips and ideas for how to help students during the time of coronavirus :) Or, even if you're not an instructor but you have a good idea, please share here! :)
March 11, 2020 1:04pm #25310Welcome to the site! :D
Have you tried out our interactive tutorial? It's a great place to get started: https://line-of-action.com/learn-to-draw
March 5, 2020 6:36pm #25306Hi Lannart!
You'll get more boxes over time, as you (hopefully) gain more control over your pencil. Just do your best to make your lightest mark in the first box, and the darkest in the last box. To start with, you just get 4 -- later, you'll get more. :)
March 5, 2020 4:45pm #25305Thank you SO much for your kind words, myshadowgengar and Gcapelle.
There is only one of me. I had a moderator who helped me with the forums and student ID approval and etc, but she has had to be absent for several months due to health issues. So it's just me. I do my best to keep up, but it's very challenging. Sometimes I receive scary threats and harassment for, apparently, being a woman who runs a site with nude imagery on it, which makes it even harder to handle. Logging into the inbox gives me heart palpatations these days. :P
February 2, 2020 3:47pm #25280Hi Polyvios,
It looks like I probably can't! https://caniuse.com/#feat=push-api It seems apple does not support this protocol. I will update the pages with some clarity on this.
January 10, 2020 6:03pm #25260Are you talking about the spam incident that occurred 2 months ago??
