Do you guys do gesture drawing? Just expressive lines to capture movement in a figure? I think I've confused gestures with whatever I'm doing. What's your approach to that?
When you draw the models here on the site, how do you approach it? Do you go for gestures, scribbly lines or realism?
There are *tons* of different valid practice methods of course, but I wanted to point you to our 15 minute interactive tutorial, which focuses on one of the more common ways to utilize gesture drawing practice and explains some of why you might want to incorporate these exercises into your practice regimen: https://line-of-action.com/learn-to-draw :)January 14, 2019 8:21pm #3448My apologies, this was a caching issue from a recent change that was made to try and make the site run faster. I've made an adjustment that should fix this; you should see it resolving very shortly. If it doesn't, or if it comes back, please let me know!January 14, 2019 7:02pm #3447January 14, 2019 5:43am #3444January 9, 2019 8:03pm #3435You're welcome, and thanks for that feedback :) I'm so glad you find the site useful!
I hope I can put your mind at ease though: Social authentication would not put our site at risk of going down if one of the other sites was hacked. The main thing that would happen is that people who used to sign in using only Facebook (or whatever) would not be able to sign in that way anymore, and would have to resort to having a site-specific username and password here.January 8, 2019 9:05pm #3432Fixed the issue "Class mode on the environments tool does not advance photos"
Or, of course, maybe I didn't. Let me know if you still have problems ;)January 7, 2019 8:09pm #3428January 7, 2019 7:48pm #3427January 4, 2019 11:32pm #3425Pssst, this is out in beta for full members now! :D

https://line-of-action.com/practice-tools/environmentsJanuary 4, 2019 9:06pm #3422Okay, on review, I think we will have another tool whose focus is "objects," both individual objects with strong lighting, and groups of objects arranged as still life. However, we'll continue to have the "Close up (still life)" tag in the environments tool for images that exist in a sort of grey area between being a scene and a largish still life.January 3, 2019 10:34am #3416I fixed a major lag error that had been building up on the "Your Studio" page, which is where logging in typically dumps out to. That might have been involved! I'm just puzzled because I'd expect a different error than 404 for a timeout.
Regardless, just glad it is happy and working for you now! :)January 2, 2019 8:49pm #3414Yay! I'm so happy to hear that HornetOfJustice!
I'm very excited about all this feedback, it is very helpful and inspiring. Thank you all! Keep it coming!
Here's another question: Would it make sense to break this idea in to two, and put "still life" in its own tool entirely?January 2, 2019 8:09pm #3413That is utterly bizarre. How did you eventually manage to login to make this post?
The next time you see that 404, can you try to copy the URL you ended up at? If you can't login to send it to me, you could send it to webmaster@line-of-action.com-
