My current goal is: Improve at correctly capturing the overall proportions of the human form

I wish I could draw in my comments. It would make the hopefully clearer. Use a stick figure to start your drawing. You can more easily work things out - the arms do this, the legs do this other. Once you have these things worked out, you can begin to flesh out your figure. Continue to work on hands and feet. Also, continue to practice your drawings.

You're welcome to upload a drawing to an image host, for example Imgur.com, and then link to that drawing in your comments if that helps. :) We have no rule against this as long as it's in keeping with our community guidelines!

Nicer job on your human proportions, SINE, that is very, very, very good work you've got going there. But if I was to give you an improvement or two, here they are.
Blacken out the poses above to render the proportions of the humans in silhouette. Next, for more details, be sure to look up a copy of Atlas of Human Anatomy for the Artist, By Stephen Rogers Peck.
And you know why? Because, you'll get a much more best idea of clarity of posing in your practice. As long as you look up that book I'd mentioned above on this link, then you'll get a much, much, much, much superior idea getting the human anatomy together into the rendering of the overall proportions of the homosapien form.
Hope it's been definitely and totally useful. Cheers, and good night.
