Tropical paradise - VR oil painting
© 2022 SanneSo this is a new one for me. I've been trying my hand at painting from reference in Virtual Reality!
I used the Environments tool and picked a tropical beach image and did my best to mostly recreate it in VR. The app I used is called Vermillion (available on Quest 2 and SteamVR). The dev did a really good job at trying to recreate how paint behaves in real life, and if you own a VR headset, I definitely recommend giving it a shot!!
I will likely be doing more paintings like this moving forward. :)
Good afternoon, Sanne, it's me again, how are you? Great work on your VR oil painting study. Keep pushing yourself with a VR gesture sketch in oil pastels, too!
Hey Polyvios! It's good to see you. :) I've been well, I hope you are too!
Thanks for your feedback friend. The VR app is limited to oil paint and has no appropriate tools for sketching, but I did ask the developer about more options. I think they'll be adding pencil/charcoal as a drawing option in the future, and when they do, I'll be sure to post more VR sketch gestures!
Thank you for the encouragement!
No, thank you.
