March 4, 2016 5:35pm #291Here is a set of some of the more presentable gesture sketches I've been doing the past couple of weeks. I'm sort of stumped on how to make the 30 second gestures better without getting bogged down in mannequinization (which I find hazardous when reference photo lighting obscures the anatomy and leaves me having to make rapid guesses). Anyway, I really would appreciate people sharing their thoughts on these.

Its how you used the eyebrows combined with the focusing of the pupils that seems to pull them off the sheet, gives me a sense theyre spherical orbs.1February 16, 2016 7:36pm #1435I would agree with Nerilla. Try some longer and longer poses. Actually you could also try the 30 minute class session. Things get more interesting as you put more and more time into these.1 -
